Garage Sale Weekend

Our weekend started off here:

And ended here:

Thank you again to everyone that was a part of this weekend. You know who you are and WE know who you are :). Thank you to my sisters, mom, and dad for standing in 100+ degree weather with us all day on Saturday. We are so lucky to have such a supportive family. Although our little one is still months away from being home, he is already loved by many.

Garage Sale

We have had a busy week collecting items for the garage sale we will be having tomorrow. So many people donated for our sale. It makes my heart smile to see friends, neighbors, coworkers, and family take the time to gather things for us :). We are so grateful to have these people in our lives and so blessed to see so many support us.

We are towing a Uhaul trailer because the garage sale will be in Brownsville. That is where my family lives and they will be helping us this weekend :).

Waitlisted

Aaaaaah! That is my sigh of relief. We are so done with the paperwork part of our process. We received an email stating we have been officially placed on our agency's wait list. I have never felt more honored and happy to be on any list. This is the last step before seeing a picture of our son for the first time. Our hearts are over flowing with joy. We are super excited! I can't even describe the feeling. The current wait time is 15 months. Therefore, we are about 15 months closer to finally being parents. These next few months will be speant dreaming of seeing our son's beautiful face for the first time. We have a lot of waiting and praying to do! Let the countdown begin :).

Words cannot describe the love that we have for our little angel. We are coming baby boy!

Rob got back from Houston today and surprised me with these Ethiopian presents.

He also brought back Ethiopian food and wine to celebrate :).

Flat Caps

Rob loves to wear flat caps. He has a few, I am sure I have posted a couple of pictures of him wearing one. He also owns a few camouflage pieces of clothing. The day we completed our Dossier, we caught ourselves browsing through baby stuff online. I can't wait to start buying baby clothes and start decorating the baby's room but I have to be patient. Waiting is hard and I will make it harder on myself if I have baby things laying around all over the house. BUT we couldn't help it and we made our first baby purchase :). It is so cute! I can't wait to see my little one wearing it.

Some of Rob's caps

Just in case you haven't seen him wearing one
Tada!!! Our son's new cap :). It is a 6 - 12 mo size camouflage cap.

CIS Approval Letter

Saturday was a blah day. Neither one of us wanted to get out of bed. We decided to stay in our pajamas and rest. We even had Chinese takeout for dinner. Sunday we went to a late movie and on our way home Rob asked if I had checked the mail. And that's when it hit me...no! I have been checking it every day, twice a day, seven days a week (you never know). We arrive to our mailbox and guess what was waiting for us? Yes, our CIS approval letter. We officially have a favorable decision to bring a little boy into the United States. That little boy is OUR little man :).
